Meet The Team

 Vicki is the Owner of The Refinery, bringing over 12 years of experience in the industry. Born and raised in South Central Texas, she attended Seguin Beauty School, where she quickly discovered her passion of hair cutting and client care. Vicki has traveled across the United States pursuing advanced, barber-specific education, trainings, and competitions to refine her craft. In the fall of 2019, she returned to New Braunfels to open The Refinery, where she has since focused on cultivating a specialized team of creative professionals dedicated to craftsmanship, thoughtful care, and long-term growth. 

 Outside the shop, she channels her creativity into cooking, gardening, and any hands-on project.  

Payton is the manager and lead stylist at The Refinery. She's been a member of the team since shortly after our grand opening in 2019! Payton has been licensed for over 8 years and brings a high level of quality and technical expertise to every service. Beyond hair cutting, she has been leading the technical cutting classes for our in-house training program as well as helping new stylists build a solid foundation and a portfolio of work. 

 Darby has 10 years of experience in the men’s hair industry and has been a trusted part of The Refinery for the past 5 years. She specializes in textured cuts and beard work, with a focus on natural shape, clean lines, and results that grow out well. Darby takes her time with every service, ensuring each cut looks just as good weeks later as it does the day you leave the chair. Known for building strong relationships with her guests, she creates an easy, comfortable experience from start to finish. Outside the shop, Darby enjoys watching movies and spending her summers camping and enjoying the Guadalupe River.

 Alissa (Ali) is from Seguin, Texas and graduated from Seguin Beauty School in 2013. She has been specializing in men’s hair for 8 years and has been a valued member of The Refinery team for the past 4 years. Ali is known for her love of bald fades, kids’ cuts, and clean face shaves, bringing a skillful and detail-driven approach to every service. When she’s not in the shop, Ali enjoys iced coffee, shopping, and spending quality time at home with her son and her chihuahua, Potato. 

Teagan has been a stylist since 2022 and loves helping people look and feel their best. Whether its a clean fade, a fresh cut, or just a touch up, she's got you covered. Whenever she isn't behind the chair, you can usually find her out on a hike, watering her ever-growing plant collection or hanging out with her 2 dogs. Good hair, good vibes!

 Alexis is a born-and-raised Texan from San Marcos with a passion for hair and a knack for fitness.  Upon graduation from William Edge Institute in New Braunfels, she went on to become dual-licensed as a barber and has been mastering the art of a bald fade like nobody's business. 

Beyond the barber chair, you'll find Lex meticulously meal prepping and hitting the gym, sculpting both hair and physique with equal dedication.

Katie was born and raised in southern California and kindly asks that you do not slash her tires in the parking lot.  Katie manages all of our front of house operations, ordering, and guest relations! She found her Refinery family in 2021. Katie graduated barber school and has remained dedicated to mastering the craft. Despite her sarcasm, she enjoys meeting and building new relationships with guests and her teammates!
